Introducing a New Era of Ultra-Private Luxury at Sea
Jumeirah, the global luxury hospitality group and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced a defining new chapter in its evolution with the introduction of The Maltese Falcon as a Jumeirah Privé Experience—marking the brand’s strategic and highly anticipated entry into the world of luxury yachting.
One of the most iconic sailing superyachts ever built, The Maltese Falcon now joins Jumeirah Privé’s carefully curated portfolio, sitting alongside the celebrated Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania. The collection was conceived to offer ultra-high-net-worth travellers a new dimension of escape—where absolute privacy meets the elevated service, craftsmanship, and intuitive hospitality for which Jumeirah is renowned.
Jumeirah Hospitality, Elevated at Sea
Through this partnership, Jumeirah brings its signature philosophy of warm, purposeful luxury onboard one of the world’s most celebrated yachts. Every detail of the experience has been thoughtfully curated—from refined culinary journeys and bespoke wellness rituals to anticipatory service delivered with the unmistakable spirit of Arabian hospitality.
The result is a seamless fusion of maritime excellence and residential-style comfort, offering guests the intimacy of a private yacht with the polish and sophistication of a Jumeirah destination.
An Icon of Innovation and Timeless Design
Instantly recognisable across the world’s most exclusive ports, the 88-metre Maltese Falcon has long been hailed as a masterpiece of modern yacht design. Since her launch in 2006, she has received more than 18 international awards and remains a benchmark for innovation, engineering, and elegance.
Her revolutionary DynaRig sailing system, featuring three freestanding, rotating carbon-fibre masts, allows an extraordinary 2,400 square metres of sail to be unfurled in just six minutes—an achievement that continues to captivate both owners and enthusiasts alike.
A Thoughtful Refit for Modern Voyaging
Following a comprehensive refit, The Maltese Falcon now presents a refreshed aesthetic across both interiors and exterior spaces, complemented by state-of-the-art technical enhancements. Designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, the yacht features a full-beam master suite, four elegant double cabins with en-suite facilities, and an exclusive private VIP deck on the flybridge with direct terrace access.
Among her standout amenities are a dramatic three-deck atrium crowned by a skylight and sweeping staircase, an outdoor cinema projected onto the yacht’s sails, a rotating circular sunbed on the flybridge, and a dedicated wellness area complete with massage room and fitness studio. A comprehensive selection of water toys—including jet skis, JetSurf boards, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkelling equipment—ensures guests can explore each destination from sea level to horizon.
A Global Itinerary for the Discerning Few
The Maltese Falcon will embark on her inaugural voyages under the Jumeirah Privé banner in December 2025, departing from Antigua. Seasonal itineraries will see the yacht navigate the Mediterranean during summer—calling at the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera and Monaco, Italy’s Amalfi Coast and Sardinia, as well as Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Türkiye—before returning to the Caribbean for winter, with stops including Antigua, The Bahamas, Saint Martin, and St. Barth.
A Vision for the Future of Privé Travel
Commenting on the announcement, Thomas B. Meier, Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah, shared:
“The Maltese Falcon marks an exciting new chapter for Jumeirah Privé, extending our vision into the world of luxury yachting. This collaboration reflects our commitment to creating experiences defined by privacy, exclusivity, and exceptional service.
