Sunreef Yachts, a luxury yacht builder, opened its modern shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, following the 30th Dubai International Boat show. The occasion, attended by UAE Supreme Council Member Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and former Polish President Lech Walesa, commemorated Sunreef’s strategic growth in the northern emirate.
The factory, which spans 65,000 square meters, is dedicated to the development of the Ultima series of power cats. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi officially inaugurated the shipyard, underlining its importance to the area. The shipyard presently employs approximately 200 people, with hopes to increase that number by year’s end.
Lech Walesa, a Nobel laureate, gave a speech among other prominent personalities. Guests were given an intimate tour of the building of the Ultima 55 model, a sophisticated hybrid catamaran. Cutting-edge robots demonstrated Sunreef’s dedication to innovation.
The facility also included solar-electric boats, such as the 80 Sunreef Power Eco Athena Too and the Sunreef 80 Eco sailing catamaran Marie-Joseph. These services demonstrate Sunreef’s commitment to sustainable and technologically sophisticated solutions.
The opening of the Ras Al Khaimah shipyard marks a watershed event for Sunreef Yachts, increasing its worldwide reach beyond its current facilities in Gdansk, Northern Poland. This decision is consistent with Sunreef’s mission to provide excellence in luxury yacht manufacture via innovation, sustainability, and sophisticated technology.
