Bentley Motors has unveiled the Batur Convertible, the latest gem from its prestigious Mulliner division, known for its unparalleled craftsmanship and bespoke creations. This third modern-era coachbuilt Bentley follows the Bacalar barchetta and Batur coupe, continuing a rich tradition of crafting exceptional automobiles tailored to individual tastes.
The Batur Convertible is a testament to Bentley’s innovative design philosophy, integrating elements from its coupe sibling while introducing a new era of convertible luxury. It is powered by Bentley’s renowned W12 engine, delivering a staggering 750 PS from its 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged powertrain. This engine, celebrated for its extraordinary performance, marks the end of an era as the last models equipped with this iconic powerplant are produced this summer.
Mulliner’s design team has masterfully combined the striking aesthetics of the Bacalar and Batur with the practicality of a convertible. The result is a car that exudes both elegance and dynamic potential.
The ‘airbridge’ and tapered cowls at the rear not only evoke the spirit of classic barchettas but also enhance functionality, offering a semi-enclosed luggage compartment. Limited to just 16 units, each Batur Convertible is a bespoke masterpiece, handcrafted at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe.
